Precious Poundies is run by Mel with help from Kate and friends and volunteers.
I started off helping another rescue who work with a pound to find rescue spaces for the dogs that are not claimed from a local pound. I helped arrange some of their transport runs for the dog to rescues, emergency boarding kennels or the vets. I found this very rewarding and enjoyed it immensley. I then moved on to another organisation, liaising with a pound and finding rescue spaces and arranging transport for the dogs to their rescue spaces. Eventually this led me to start Precious Poundies to work with a local pound to find rescue spaces for dogs which had served their seven days.
I am owned by a Staffordshire Bull Terrier called Kelly, an elderly X-breed called Rebel, and 5 cats.
